It’s really unfair. The way to Sunshine Mountain is impossible, Doom Mountain the only way to go. Every step could be a trap. Is that solid ground? Sure looks like solid ground. But no, it’s a grand illusion, and you find yourself plummeting to your death. But that’s not too horrible, because as far as I can tell you have unlimited lives. However, it does keep track of how many you use, to rub it in, so to speak. I was very near 100 by the time I beat the 5 levels or so of the game.

You pretty much have to memorize the path you can take to get you to safety. The only way to know it is through trial and error. When I leap through the free and clear sky hear, a giant block of spikey horror appears and impales me. But if I run across the ground, it opens up and the earth swallows me. You quickly find out what your options are. Well, what your option is. No plural.

The levels are relatively short and with a checkpoint in the middle. This minimizes frustration. But it still takes 100 lives to finish the game, so it is still likely to be frustrating. I choose to look at it as funny though.
